Testing a new painting aesthetic for underwater visualization. Working on better scene composition and a more distinctly ranged color direction and palette. It's insanely interesting how much can be done with gray, color overlays and stylization of background can make a scene feel more experiential.

Being underwater is one of my sensations ever, it's immersive, it's takes control of your instincts and changes your entire perspective. To master being underwater is to master controlling the mind, drowning is a fear of losing control and fighting against a force that wants to work with you and not the opposite. Ok, my personal schpeel is over.

This picture has been about a 3 day experiment, completely reworking my process and to results I'm happy with, I want to create these kind of palatable pieces with a more experimental yet controlled construction!

And finally starting those YCH's, I have two of the four sketched out and working on the others as I'm working on getting the characters right in the scene and finding color palettes and visual styles for each.
