My mate,  chakatswiftrunner, is the only person I know of who enjoys and appreciates Kacey Miyagami's work more than I do. In hir mind, the first thing that appears when someone mentions chakats is Kacey's artwork. Her artwork holds a very special and dear place in Swifty's heart, so you can only imagine how much Swiftrunner was excited to get a picture from Kacey at Anthrocon 2015. Sadly, by the time we got to her, she was full up.

Undaunted, we decided to return next year, as sponsors, purely to get into the dealer's den faster, and as it turned out we were second in line. We got our piece, and we can both now die happy. :P

Personally, I think the attention to detail here is stunning. Kacey, with only one reference available for Swifty, managed to perfectly nail hir hybrid spot pattern, and made me look cute and feminine and vulnerable. The fact that we're touching tails is even better. I'd love to wear pajamas half this cute in real life. I hope Kacey saw how touched my mate was when we picked up the picture. I could practically see hir heart melting.
