104 meters above (250m elevation) Goose Lake (146m elevation), in the western portion of the Malcolm Knapp UBC Research Forest, on Tuesday. Such a fabulously lake, great place to spend the day, but horribly arduous to reach! It's 1.5 hours from the main forest gate, and then 54 meters down a 45 degree angle slope through clear-cut slash and demonic trailing blackberry vines and thorny raspberry canes. I look like I was attacked by someone with a cheese grater.
