On the eve of a new beginning, darkness falls fast as tiny creatures hide from the surrounding blackness. Two strangers wonder across the dismal bland earth, nothing but sadness covering their faces as broken hearts bleed and ache. They are lost in the world of nothingness and plain humor. No love to caress the soul, nor any feeling of emotions; only the emptiness that consumes them and tears their own world apart. What life is this; for two mortals to wonder the world and never feel anything but their own selves within the cascade of no color.
The Girl: My heart burns as the darkness draw closer and pulls me in. I am a mere pile of ashes that waits upon the dusty ground to be picked up and never be anything but what I am. I am the stillness that the wind does not touch and the lifeless dying rose that no longer blooms and smells of sweetness. I am the ground that is below the sky that creatures walk upon carelessly and never notice. My faith and bounty is gone, leaving only a wet residue of what left of my painless tears. If there is anyone left on this damned earth, take me no and leave not a trace of myself.
The Boy: I feel so alone on this earth as the sky I was once though was magnificent and brightly fades into blackness and hell. I have become the nothingness that walks through the air and fells no shame, but only pain. My soul rots and decays from the everlasting ache I feel upon my heart. No one else can see me nor hear me crying out for refuge and for some sort of emotion or feeling. I am hollow as the bellowing winds run through my soul and my dying body. My faith and bounty have deserted me, leaving blood-stained tears upon the blackening sky. If there is anyone left in this hell that humanity has created, take what you want of me and leave nothing but the memory of myself.
The two torn souls roam the world, hearing the echoing memories of their pasts while awaiting the painstaking of their future; only the comfort of each other can save the others life and soul from being damned and dragged into hell. But the sadness of this story is that they both have fell corrupted to the thoughts of their own minds that they have created a hell within themselves that only they, themselves can destroy.
The Girl; Hell has come and taken the sun from the sky only leaving darkness and decay as the world fades into the emptiness it has created. Thanks humanity for damning us and dragging us back into the meaningless population of nature verse one mere human. What have we done to deserve this fate of torture and desecration? No one knows how I feel, since I have been left alone here on the damned planet with no companionship or loving devotion. I have been left to die alone and untouched by mortal hands.
The Boy: Heaven, what heaven do which we seek from this damnation brought upon by ignorance and selfishness towards others. Why must we be so conceded and full of ourselves to abandon others and bring upon a treacherous end to our own population, our humanity? Thanks to those who left me here to die upon a waste land filled with ash and sand as my death bed and no companion to lie with me. I have never held a woman in my arms; never caressed her soul and told her how much I love her. I never have a woman’s bosom graze my own nor have I laid a woman down to rest beside me, making her feel as if she is the queen of the universe.
The two tormented creatures crawl upon the hot coaled earth, searching for some sort of prize. A prize that no other could ever hold dear; companionship, love, hope, joy was what they longed for.
