Builders of the World #2: Vandore, Lord of Sunlight
Vandore, Lord of Sunlight / The Faded Sun / Sentinels of Dawn
Known primarily as the brother figure to Ana, Mother of the World, the both of them were seen as an inseparable, powerful couple.
In the early days, he was depicted mostly as a knight of grand stature (think about 6,5 feet tall) in lithe, shining golden armour with small ridges to accentuate its complex layering, with slightly brighter silver gauntlets of sorts, and the motif of a sword crossing a golden sun, most prominently featured in the shoulder pads of his armour, the centre around his chest, and on his large, rough obsidian shield as well, which was covered with small spikes on the outer edges.
His fair, untarnished face was adorned with a modest, waving set of golden hair and bright blue eyes, his expression belying more modesty than anything else.
After his sister Ana was blinded by her first glimpse of sunlight, he swore to stand by her side till death do them part.
According to the Memoirs of a Fallen God, he eventually found his end defending an object referred to as the Goblet of Martyrs from one of his foster children, a troubled fox spirit by the name of Matthew Wolfbane who had forgotten.
Spending the last centuries of his life, he gave a loving and caring home to the unwanted bastard children of demons and was eventually rewarded with nothing but betrayal.
The Sentinels of Dawn ended that day, their old home providing the ground for a new united empire.
