Before I used my brush pen on full pieces or comic pages I decided to doodle with it first. So I whipped up a couple head shots and colored them in with some painterly brushes in Clip Studio.
This here is Queen Matieka, the ruler over the Ambivian country my comic takes place in (and she appeared later in Chapter 1). She's not a very kind ruler and is horribly racist. She is still highly respected, though, having pulled the country through a war of an invading race. She got her facial scar and torn antennae under an attack on the Royal Palace. Although she could have gotten them cosmetically healed up, she chose to keep them as a symbol of her power. And probably cause it makes her look intimidating and bad ass.
