A small doodle I decided to colour.
I added the background roses by making my own brushes from a couple of floral patterns I found with the google image search. I added some colour and blurred then a bit. So it's nothing I could take credit for... But I think the kitty turned out pretty nice.

The Cat Who Went to Heaven is about a cat who is adopted by an artist who is commissioned to do a painting of Buddha blessing the animals. It's a children's story (of a sort) by Elizabeth Coatsworth, and won tons of awards. I could never do it justice . . . could you get to a library, do you think? They'd likely have it.
