As I told you when you showed me this pic yesterday I really love the details of the eye and I am sure you will get the shading right with time.

When shading you need to figure out where your light source is. (Obviously xD) use logic as to where you should put the basic shadows (like under the chin the neck and ears) And then find some other references as to where you should put more detailed shadows (e.g. in the eye sockets and muzzle details) you will get better with time so don't get discouraged by your results ^-^ my first drawings where hideous! xD
