Unfortunately, I can't draw animals very well, so I have to show my appreciation for the new Vulpix the only way I know how: naked furries. :')

*poker face* Well, yeah, Fennec Fox, but still, that is completely different from being "Purely Fox", if you get what I meant.
I had that same thought. XD Why ice? Admittedly, I don't know a lot about Hawaii but I always assumed it was very tropical. Tropical and ice don't mix, but I'm sure they've got some sort of explanation. Maybe one of the islands is icy? I'm really curious how it'll play out.
According to a friend of mine:
They actually showed their work there. The mountain region that they become specially adapted to is likely Maunu Kea, the world's tallest mountain from base to summit. An ice cap formed on the mountain, and there's snow there. In Hawaiian mythology, Poli'ahu, a goddess of snow, lives there.

Hawaii is tropical for the most part, but it is unique in that it is one of the only places in the world where almost all of the major biomes can be found (rainforest, desert, wetlands, etc). The only type it's missing is tundra/permafrost, as the snow does melt on Mauna Kea in the summer.
I kinda wanna see one with all 4 of them, Shiny Alolan Vulpix included. She's actually got a hue of purple on her which I really think suits her well, and her eyes are a blue/violet color. If you've seen a Shiny Alolan Vulpix, you'll know they are a PRECIOUS GEMSTONE. X3

I have wanted to revisit this drawing, so maybe I could do that! I wanted to draw them petite and they ended up looking a little too young, so I'd love to take another stab at it with my more updated style and such. Would be perfect timing to add the shiny version! Maybe I will :3
