The torc was cursed, as so many sought out treasures tend to be, though that didn’t detour the many adventures who searched for the ancient relic. It was only rumored to be cursed, of course, for none who sought it out ever returned to tell the tale of what befell them upon locating the hidden artifact, and unwittingly trying it on. Deep within the jungle, sealed away in a temple as old as the torc itself, it would eventually be returned, only to be sought out again and again by another hapless explorer…
