Part of the jolly Kremling Krew (created by Verquilion)
Yo Ho! Yo Ho! A pirate's life for me. (-^.=.^-)
Hihihi, what a funny thought: What if Shiny was to get friends with the Kremlings. I could definitely see him fit really well with the fellow Crocs from the magic realm. Here, we have the proud members of the Kaptain K. Rool Pirate Crew having a blast singing and celebrating their jolly Pirate days filled with adventures, treasures and probably lotsa plans involving coconuts and bananas, hehe.
I always enjoyed these guys a lot. They were fun and cool toony Crocs and with their cool appearances they made all the Donkey Kong games even more fun for me. So here you have the great K.Rool and his first mates Krusha, the big blue dude who seems to found a likeness to the happy lil Dile, also the wonderful Klump and his brother Skurvy having a drink together- Arrrrrgh! X3
And how sweet of Kaptain K. Rool and the others to give lil Shiny a fitting hat and cloth to make him feel just like a proper lil pirate. Could imagine that he'd probably get along really well with all the bigger and smaller Kremling members and learning all the funny mischief from them. And who knows, maybe some Kongs even might share some bananas with them and join some island and sea adventures. All on board, I say! (~.=.o)
Thankies to the wonderfully talented Verquilion who draws the Kremlings in a sweet and authentic style which made me ask her repeatedly if she might honor me with letting me commission her. And the result is just gorgeous. Not just the characters and scenery both from the Donkey Kong Country games and animated series got a great looking tribute but again, the nice pirate theme we had in the 2nd DKC game is making me all jolly when watching these guys having fun. The expressions of Shiny and them makes me say these guys are having a great time together and I wanna join into their shanties and celebrations. <X3
Shiny belongs to me while

I think the only games in the series I didn't play were the King of Swing games for GBA and DS.
A thing I always found quite awkward was the fact that later after Donkey Kong 64 twhenever they showed King K.Rool his tail was missing. In no game you ever hear anybody wondering about that and even in Super Smash Bros. he actually has a pair of buttcheeks. It's just plain weird to me and baffles me still. Crocs need tails,. End of story. <X3

Yeah, played them all and enjoyed them. 'The Wind Waker' had a lot of fun and quirky characters and I loved exploring the islands! You actually reminded me of something there, hehe. =D
Another game I played a while ago was 'Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag', also had way cool islands to get to with temples, large towns and a lot of shanties, ships and tales of pirates. Was a blast to play. X3

Yush, a shame that Verq didn't keep the original upload online but I'm glad I'm allowed to share this with everybody. =3
A cool game, right? I know a lot of people hated the collectathon in the games but to me it actually was neat how vastly diverse the worlds got with the exploration through all the different Kongs' abilities. It has a really great and toony atmosphere to it and especially the final battle with King K.Rool is so brilliantly put together. X3

I can see how people can think that. I like collecting everything post-game, but I had no idea the rareware coin and the nintendo coin were both absolutely needed to fight the final boss. I'm glad I could get them both before the final level, but I probably couldn't have without restore points.
I played it on the Wii U with a pro controller, so I imagine I had a much easier time with it than if I was playing on an actual N64 without any restore points x3
But yeah, I do love games with multiple characters to play as with unique abilities and colorful worlds to explore, so it was perfect ^^

I only know the N64 version myself. Was so excited when it came out with the expansion pack to enhance the console's power for the game. And the game was one of the great examples of 3D Jump n Runs indeed. Can't help often to say "Oh, banana!" for fun when eating fruits. ;3
Hehe, plus me lil Dile could easily be taken for a Kremling, right? In fanarts I always enjoy me some 'what if...' scenarios with a character or cosplay arts. Costumes are lots of fun and having artworks showing your mascot with characters you enjoy is simply sweet as long as they come over as natural to their original style as they do in Verq's style. =3
Late reply from my side but still appreciated that you wrote me a comment. I watched that animated video. Looked really nice. I know that historically seen pirates just as well as something like knights aren't as romantic as they sometimes got portraited. I personally like to treat things in a playful and cartoony manner and even if the Kremlings are categorized as villains like many Reptiles in video games, I like both their and the general outfit design that pirates are showcased by. =3
