Eos scheduled her pregnant patient for a C section a few days ago, but she had this nagging feeling that it might be too late for her and was thinking about rescheduling the appointment to an earlier date. Unfortunately, it was too late. Just one day after the appointment was made, the patient's water broke and she was rushed to the hospital to get a C section done as soon as she can. After a close examination, Eos realized that it was too late to preform a C section and the pregnant patient had to give birth naturally without an epidural. A healthy 10 pound boy was born a short time later, but the boy's mother had lost so much blood that it ended her life prematurely.

Eos was angry with herself and had trouble accepting her failure. She had been the smartest and most successful doctor Verona's hospital had in years. She was the doctor who made cures for certain cancers and STDS. She also made uterine transplants a reality as well. How could she miscalculate the due date and fail to save a young mother who was giving birth to a large baby? How could she forgive herself for putting the baby's father through unbearable pain? Now he has to raise his child alone without her. She sighed heavily then leaned against the wall in her office. Normally she would be aloof and not show emotion while on duty because it would get in the way of her daily tasks but she couldn't hold it in anymore...
