Once upon a time I started a new game on my old Emerald cartridge. The ensuing adventure was one of my best experiences I've yet to have playing Pokemon. Just after I had arrived at Slateport city and defeated the enemy team at the museum, I moved up to route 110 to train and catch more Pokemon. On about the third encounter I ran into a shiny female Electrike. I managed to catch her, named her Cobalt after her color, and she became the main Pokemon on my team. She was my first shiny I've caught in the wild ever since I found a shiny Unown in crystal. She was with me all the way until the end, and even now has been transferred to the latest installment, ORAS, and even has a certificate to prove it.
