I looked it up and it's the same process. I had a picture and transferred it to Polaroid by a Polaroid transfer machine (takes pictures of pictures w/ Polaroid film) then I put it in a hot bath and took off the gelatin back. Then I could manipulate the photo, and give it the swirls and the pinches in.
eee! Polariod emulsion lift-off
lol mine broke apart bit :/
Hey have you tried the other process with the same type of polariods....where you use a roller...I think it's called emulsion transfer...but I can't recall. like this http://www.chriseagon.net/home/A_Fu.....e_transfer.gif
I had worse a time with it...but I think I was using crappy watercolor paper.

Ack I caught up in the process and not talk about the piece.
I enjoy the out of focusness?? the image has combined with the swirls of the emulsion...gives it movement. Along with the dynamic lines...of the grate? on the bottom, it feels like a rift has begun to open up and stuff is starting to be pulled in...and the person in the image is unaware.
