Brazil has two different mascots for the Olympics themselves, but Ginga represents the Brazilian team.

I love me some Ginga. He rides the line between cute and sexy for. Kind of like Tony the Tiger. I have terrible urges to cuddle him.

We'll just have to see where it goes. Every host city has problems leading up to the games, but I'll admit, it looks pretty dire.

A lot of sporting mascots seem to have those traits, especially if they're an anthropomorphic animal. I liked Tony the Tiger as a kid, but after hearing how anti-furry he was on Twitter, it's awkward now, haha =P

I am Brazilian and I am not at all enthusiastic about the Olympic Games Rio 2016. Choose Rio as host of Olympiad is asking for disaster. We have no security, the police are ill-trained, ill-equipped, ill-paid, our judicial system is bankrupt, there is no education, basic sanitation, transportation, if the event comes around a cell of terrorists Islamic State preparing an attack It will end in tragedy on the worldwide television cameras simply because the police of Rio de Janeiro is not prepared to face it. The Olympic Stadium where will take place the competitions after the end of the Olympic games will turn scrap due to lack of use and lack of maintenance in a few years. When I watched the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games I had the distinct impression that I was watching a Samba Schools parade a little more distinctive, glamorous and pretense of being taken seriously or musical spectacles of Xuxa. Was not aware of this fact, the Jaguar killed by police but honestly does not surprise me at all really because the powerful, those in government do not care about the life of a poor animal for them a poor jaguar was killed in pamphleteer event of them is indifferent. Man is a selfish creature who treats the whole planet Earth as if it were his property and that does not give the minimum to the feelings of other creatures. It is very easy for the organizers of the Olympics choose a muscular and handsome jaguar mascot but it did no good to this poor jaguar killed by police who died without understanding why they killed him just because of that torch. Anyway the more I know the human being would most like to be any more noble creature, beautiful and unspoiled part because man annoys me.
