Fact remains I posted this because I don't have a clue how to take it farther than it already is. It's as finished as it will ever be because that's where I'm at right now. In short I've hit a wall.
More research is, of course, the answer. I can't afford art classes so I have to rely on whatever I can find on the internet.

I'm afraid your art simply won't go any further if you don't think it will. All I can tell you is to find a way to stay motivated, ask for challenges to draw, or try drawing something you've seen before. And while you may think you've reached your peak I still see a great deal of potential in you! This is merely some artists block, nothing more nothing less.
I find that art classes, most of the time, are too rigid to allow growth as an individual artist. Sure your art will improve greatly, but you lose that "I made it here on my own!" feeling. But when all's said and done this is your choice to make, not mine.

Maybe a simple thing (read comments above by my best friendo) to try to improve is draw a totally different species! From my own experience (I draw too many dogs lol!) do a similar species but totally different? So maybe draw a cat? Or hmm.. Maybe a hyena? lol I'm sorry if I'm no help :3
