it may be on the same subject matter but you portrayed it in a very different way, you used your own words and your own thoughts, which makes the poem uniquely yours. Lots of poems are written on the same subject, but no two poems are exactly alike, we each have our own way of expressing what we feel, and that is what makes the poetry we write different from that of other poets.
there is no harm in writing poetry on the same subject its when you start copying and stealing lines or verses without siting the proper author that people get offended
