I don't draw big koops, but I wish I could. I can write short stories about big koops, though. So please enjoy. c:
“Kamek!” the king of koopas roared from across the throne room. “What are you doing in my chair?” Returning from a day of ruling--giving orders to others and taking credit for tasks when they’re completed--Bowser came back to rest in his throne, the one thing he could count on to make himself feel regal. As the oversized emperor stomped down the red carpet, Kamek bounced a little in the tall chair that was adorned with gaudy trinkets to further embellish the title of king. Although the wizard had a perfectly good reason for his actions, he also shook a little in fear of the physical repercussions he might feel shortly.
Arriving at the throne, Bowser was surprised to find that his scrawny advisor was not in his throne, but in a chair similar to his and of a different scale. Angered but still curious, the hulking koopa stood over the smaller throne, eyeing everything down. After a long pause from the king and nervous twitching from Kamek, Bowser opened his mouth: “So, did you wheel that in while I was gone or…?”
“Y-Yes, Your Nastiness!” Kamek responded with a bit of fear in his voice anyone could detect.
Again surprised by the forwardness of his second-in-command’s statement, Bowser leaned down, looming over Kamek. “When are you going to bring my thr--!” The red gem on the end of Kamek’s wand poked its way up, against the king koopa’s lips.
“S-Sir, shouldn’t you be spending this time smashing something and causing someone misery?” Kamek was standing upon the throne, lifting his wand up to silence his boss. “Let me make you huge so you can have some fun in the Mushroom Kingdom.” Still the nervous koopa, the wizard was perspiring quite a bit.
Cocking a brow, Bowser stood up straight and folded his arms. “Here? I’m not going to wreck my own castle. This place barely holds me at normal size.” The skeptical leader had a great point, causing Kamek to flinch.
Out of desperation, the magikoopa swung his wand, abruptly slinging a spell. The familiar rainbow-colored glitter rained down upon Bowser. A singular burly hand wrapped around the wizard’s neck as the spell finished, lifting him off the floor. “What on earth is wrong with you?” Bowser roared in Kamek’s face. The nervous magikoopa flailed and squirmed in his ruler’s grasp. “I’m gonna make you clean up all the pieces, you know that? No one to hel--!”
Kamek was released from the choking grasp as abruptly as he was picked up, landing back in the small koopa-sized throne with a thump. With a sore behind, the magikoopa took deep breaths, massaging his neck for a moment before he heard:
“HEY! What’s the big idea!”
Kamek’s eyes were drawn downward, to the source of the squeaking voice. Not even ankle-high to the abused koopa was a tiny Bowser, subject to a magic opposite of what he was used to. While not initially sure of its success, the wizard was very pleased with the results. Standing up for maximum effect, the small right-hand man of the king now cast a shadow over his brawny ruler, bringing an irresistible smile to his face. Bowser belonged among the ranks of microgoombas at that size! Wanting to hear that sweet voice again, the magikoopa only offered his superior a teasing grin.
“What are you waiting for!?” The puny king flailed, shooting out a wisp of fire. “Do something!”
Unable to help himself, the koopa Bowser always depended on let out his trademark cackle. “That I can do, Your Puny-ness!” Kamek replied; it took a towering scale for Bowser to see the menacing nature lying inside the spellslinging koopa. Previously nothing more than a yes-koop’, Kamek took a step forward, placing a sandaled foot before the emperor. While at first the shrunken king was startled by the sound and feeling of the towering figure drawing closer, he quickly connected what he was seeing to how he had used Kamek’s magic to tower over others.
“Curses, he’s been making me look cool for years now,” he grumbled to himself. If he was feeling uneasy by the sight of his scrawny advisor’s foot, Bowser himself must have been quite the daunting figure when he was made huge. Seeing the blue-robed titan bend down to pick him up added to his discomfort. No one looked down on Lord Bowser! Kamek held Bowser by his shell like a walnut, between a thumb and forefinger. He was promptly hoisted high up in the air; with Kamek standing, it was as if Bowser was being suspended countless stories in the sky. The king had been defeated in several situations that left him falling from a great height, but none were pleasant; he didn’t want to do it again.
“Hmm,” Kamek pondered, positioning his hand underneath Bowser to give his king some safety. Turning Bowser by his shell and studying him over, the towering wizard in charge found the right spot; giving the spiky shell a firm squeeze with his fingertips (as well as a guide with the side of a third finger), the shrunken royal koopa was ejected from his own shell, awarding the wizard 100 points! Nothing had ever struck the king of the koopas so hard that it actually knocked him out of his fortress. Landing in Kamek’s other palm with a grunt, Bowser was infuriated!
“Kamek, what are you doing! Fix me, fix me, fix me!” The king threw a petulant tantrum, stomping as he issued his demands. After a moment of silence, he wasn’t blinded by fury any longer. Bowser was able to fully assess the situation: apart from his bracelets, he was naked. His shell kept his body warm and his defenses high. Standing in Kamek’s palm, he was much smaller than any of his minions! Though the magikoopa’s attention wasn’t fixed upon the shrunken king at the moment, Kamek’s face was one of true villainy; his eyes were hidden behind thick lenses that always seemed to catch some light source to create a glare. Despite having powerful magic, Kamek’s loyalty has always been with supporting Bowser as king. Why would he willingly go along as the advisor when he could use his power to become king himself? Bowser was looking at a studious koopa capable of most anything…
