If I had to pick an underrated favorite Final Fantasy boss, it's probably be Final Fantasy VII's Aps. There's just something... adorable about the big, ugly beast. First off, he's a mix of so many animals, including the snout of a pig, the horns of a bull, the tongue of a reptile, the legs of a horse, a back-piece almost like the skull of a pachysaur, and a torso and arms that are either like a gorilla or a very strong human.
Second, he wears a halter and two cuffs with chains, which means he was someone's pet at time. It's possible he was supposed to be Don "Cornball's" pet, but that was never confirmed. Still, he didn't get that halter by himself.
I think the most adorable thing about this boss is that his signature move hurts himself! It adds a little bit of comedy to a silly, yet intimidating boss. If they do go through with the FF7 remake, seeing what this guy looks like in high definition is one of the things I look forward to. I hope I'm not the only one who likes this guy.
Aps belongs to SquareEnix.

I'll admit, I actually put effort into this one. Usually I'm just drawing for fun, and that's kind of how I draw chub-art. There are some days, however, where I get serious about drawing. I'm still not amazing, but I can be pretty good when I want to be. Might have been due to the drive to draw something that isn't chub-art.
