Filled with doubt and apprehension, Sapphire made her way to the forest clearing. She'd been told of a group of kobolds like her that were waiting for her there. And yet, Sapphire had never seen a good kobold in her life. How could there be a gathering of them?
Almost upon the forest clearing and wary beyond all telling, Sapphire called upon her divine magic to try and detect evil. She found none, but that didn't mean there wouldn't be something waiting for her. Still, she was a priest of Sarenrae and her adventures had taught her that everyone deserved the benefit of the doubt.
Sapphire stepped out into the clearing and tears came to her eyes. There they were. A group of disparate and yet similar kobolds from all kinds of different lands. All of them had different origins, but all of them showed the telltale signs of courage, cunning, quirkiness, laughter, or love, often in combination. This was her prize. Sapphire finally found what she was looking for in life. Other kobolds just like her. Kobolds that wanted something better. Wanted to be something MORE. The brave. The wise. The fun. The loved. The kobolds.

Man... oh man... It's all done. It's actually finally all done. I... I'm a little stunned to think that it's nearly over. As I write this, my eyes keep tracing back to the picture, wondering if I forgot something or need to add more.
What started as a project I expected to get 5... MAYBE 10 people to want to buy slots for ended up with a month of solid work drawing kobolds of virtually every shape and color. Guys... I don't know what to say. Thank you. This has been one of the wildest rides of my artistic life. It is my honor to be commissioned so often by so many. And while I often feel WAY behind schedule on them, the fact that people desire what I do is something that puts a smile on my face when I go to bed at night.
Thank you, guys. Thank you so much.
Okay, sappy stuff out of the way, just a couple of quick notes about the drawing itself. This is probably the first drawing that gives any sort of relative perspective for Sapphire's tiny height and frame. Truthfully, the kobolds should NOT be this large relative to trees (maybe half or a third as much), but I wanted some overhanging brush so I compromised and decided the trees were very yound and the leaves were low to the ground. Just roll with it.
The main point of interest is that Sapphire is by FAR the shortest kobold of the bunch (except for plushy Sky-Charger, of course). Male kobolds average about 2'6, while females average about 2'4. Sapphire is a mere 2'1. If you guys want a full-sized, stand-alone version of Sapphire on here (I didn't make it an official upload because it was linked to this picture specifically), you can find the link to it here: http://sta.sh/0555i6rgxbh
Thanks guys. Now... time for MORE commissions! ...And one of them is a kobold. Again. ...No comment. XD
