You know... the only version of this mech I actually liked in the 3025 era was the one with the three LLs..

I am a huge, huge fan of the MAD-3M. It has the twin large lasers as well as medium lasers, plus a very competent heat sinking capability. When Level 2 rolled around it opened up so, so many options for this 'Mech.
The one I use the most is custom, dubbed the MAD-/4/M, with more armor and the AC/5 switched out for a Rotary model. It also has jump jets and the medium lasers upgraded to pulse models, along with double heat sinks.

Sounds like it'd be a good setup, specially if you could up the torso armor and make those pulses into clan versions. I rather like the pulse lasers... but the Inner Sphere models are a bit... lacking.

Mostly in the range department, though since I kept the standard engine this thing can take a fucking beating. More than once I have been stripped of my weapons (and 100% of my armor!) able to walk away.
The way I added additional armor it has become a walking sponge.

Heh, that's why you need a CT mounted LL in place of that RAC5. Makes you one hell of a zombie. Might not be as good as a clan zombie, but still. :3

Since I play in the occasional campaign, replacing a bunch of weapons is easier than the entire engine. >>
