But yeah, up until the last dream I was wondering if his story was even taking place somewhat in temporal concordance to the college story line. But hey, now he gets to have fun with his peers... he's going to go more insane then a foundling "invited" to one of Daryl's birthday parties, isn't he?

Let's see - as an adventurer. Daniel has spent much of his youth learning to slay monsters, and much of his adulthood executing criminals. Nick bears a strong resemblance to a notorious criminal, i.e. exactly the sort of person Daniel has been busily putting to death. Nick, through a combination of his telepathic powers, Daniel's dress and physique and crucially, the mark on Daniel's ear, is pretty sure what's going to happen next.

TL;DR - Nick has been discovered by the worst possible member of the student body. Fun is one way to put it.

So not going to pot shaving cream in is hand and tickle his face with a feather or cover him in honey so we wakes up with bugs all over him

Either way, Nick is going to assume that Daniel's attentions will be a bit more in the 'fatal' department.
