Our people’s stories have always talked about how the spirits guide and shape destiny in ways we mortals could never truly understand, and I believe those stories. After all I've got a guardian angel on my shoulder, well calling Lament an 'angel' might be a stretch. She here came to me when I barely out of the pouch, promising to teach me secrets beyond my wildest dreams. I was curious then, and Lament did not disappoint. I learned my first cantrips from her in minutes, and was enchanted with how magic felt as it coursed through my body. She offered to teach me more, if only I would leave home at the direction of her, now our, mysterious benefactor. I have never regretted my decision then for a single moment.
