You pretty much have to have a Duck Tape Dummy to do this. It makes you get the shape near about perfect. That said, there was a hell of a lot of maneuvering of said dummy propped up with chairs, boxes, at one time I had the crotch of the dummy sitting on tthe back of the chair so I could see the vertical up/down shaping. You do what you must to get it right! There aren't a lot of tutorials that say how to do the actual shaping, what to use as the base, etc. I recommend having a junk pair of pants like the ones I'm wearing that you can cut up if needed, using thin strips instead of 1 large piece to mold it. Then trim it with a great pair of scissors or an electric carving knife--but go slow!
