I wouldn't recommend redoing it. Few things sillier than a relatively tiny creature somehow bursting out and killing a larger predator from the inside after its been swallowed. There are reasons why this never happens in real life.

Even birds and frogs disable potentially dangerous prey before swallowing it. The big lizard thing would have undoubtedly crushed the possibly dangerous creature in its jaws a bit before swallowing to insure it couldn't harm him. And because that's such a good possibility, nobody would just walk up and beg to be eaten. That alone would make the creature suspicious. That's why this scenario is so dumb, and such a bad cliché' too.
