
On our way home we camped near Crater Lake. The sky was so clear at night which gave us the amazing opportunity to take pictures of the milky way....! Balaa will post more of hers soon :)

it's probably a long exposure, but when shooting stars you usually don't want to go over 10 secs else the stars go blurry as they move over the sky ...unless you want a star-trail shot or have special gear that would follow the stars as they move during extra-long exposures, ...or you use several shots and stack them up in software

Wow... When I lived on the fringes of the Mojave Desert, I wouldn't even be able to see the Milky Way that clearly. Still, the image helped bring back fond memories of when I'd drive beyond the city lights, then lay in the trunk and back window of my car and just look at the sky. I swear I could feel the Earth turning beneath me.
