"I sign here then? That's all? You grabbed me from my ship just to put me in another warband?"

- "Imperator Smodur's orders. Remember that bow you stole? The thing that looks like its made of gold and turned out to be a bracelet that makes a bow out of magic? Yeah, that one."

"I didn't steal it, I 'reacquired' it. It was stolen from some pirates, and I simply took them back from them. Politely, I might add."

- "You started a clash between the human pirates and bandits over a drinking game."

"I admit, my time in the Ash Legion has given me a few lessons on sneaking around."

- "Whatever it is, you're going to be kept under surveillance for now. You've got all the top brass having their eyes on you and the magical doohickey that got affixed to your wrist. Blood Legion wants to use it as a military asset, Iron Legion wants to study the weapon, and the Ash Legion is calling dibs on their previous operative."

"And I'm not going to let them cut my off my hand just to get the blasted thing off. I'll chew the tail off and claw the eyes out of anyone that comes at that thing with a blade, even if its the Imperator himself."

- "Easy on the threats there. You're lucky most of the Tribunes there decided not to do that, simply because they don't know what that thing will do."

"But making me the Legionnaire of my own warband? What are they thinking, letting a gladium run the show, much less a pirate who turned her back on the 'charr way'?"

- "Its easy to always keep an eye on the person you're supposed to be taking orders from. Just don't push your luck. Of the other three assigned to your new warband, each of them are from a different legion. They're all spying on you for their own Tribunes."

"Doesn't make my job easier. Didn't you say two of them are gladium too?"

- "Yeah, I did. The Iron Legion one is still a young cub whose warband got involved in Flame Legion trouble. He's not executed considering he helped Blood crack down on possible defectors, but he's in the stockade now until they figure out what to do with him. The Ash Legion lackey is not much better. She's a master assassin who uses poison, but when her warband got captured by Separatists a couple years back, she decided to kill them all to make sure they didn't talk, and got away on her own."

"And the Tribunes think putting three gladiums together can create a cohesive warband?"

- "No, its more likely they're there with orders to kill you if the situation turns bad. Look on the bright side, the Blood Legion that's going to be with you is Legionnaire of his own warband. Pretty distinguished soldier for his age. Tribune Brimstone's even given him a commendation before. And from what I can tell, the three of them know each other. Used to come from the same fahrar way out in the boondocks and far from the Citadel. You've got your work cut out for you."

"Unless they decide to turn on me, that is. Alright, that seems to be all. The 'Chaser' warband, huh. Who knows, it might even be fun."
