though hounds muzzle is somewhat different, both him and dumptruck have the same type (flap beneath the nose), both have small ears, and grey bodies
the only difference is that dumptruck has somewhat of a mix in him, hence the redish orange hair/eyebrows, and his longer tail

Well, I watched my favorite TaleSpin episode "It Came From Beneath The Sea Duck" and noticed that Dumptruck's ears are actually longer and more pointed then Hound's
Well, it has been written in Encyclopedia of Walt Disney's Animated Characters that Dumptruck is "a huge mastifflike beast whose skull seems to be made of solid bone." while as ENeos points out, Hound is a great dane with short ears.
