Another giftpic, this one done by the same old friend who did the PocketFox pic. Here's Kheph again, this time looking a little more mature. You can see his jewelry a bit better in this one too -- he's got quite the penchant for jade, malachite, and gold.

Khephren was a guardian, charged with protecting the tombs of the Pharaohs until his task became obsolete when the majority of the tombs were robbed by modern Western explorers (modern being a relative term, of course). There's only so much one little sphinx can do against hordes of determined treasure hunters, and eventually their numbers and technology outstripped his abilities. So now he just wanders, seeing what's happened to the world in the few thousand years he was stuck in the desert, and trying to find his place in it.
