egypturnash's Decrypting Rita whose personal style and taste speaks to me. You get the idea the Vespuline hive-mind can't be too bad when her definition as an individual is still so clear.
Hatched in ink, because what point is there in an interpretation if you don't do it differently. Her hand-body is backward from how you usually see it in the comic, but of course Mattie would feel like having it the other way sometimes; of this I am sure.

I feel a *bit* bad for playing marketing director for the author/artist, but it's just a couple days from the end of its Kickstarter! She's hoping to print the Omnibus edition in hardcover with spot gloss, and if her previous publishing work is any indication, it's going to be a GORGEOUS artifact in treepulp form! (Also, IMHO a bit easier to read than the web format.) Check it out!

Cer, do you have any idea HOW MUCH I grinned when I first saw this? <3 <3 <3 Honestly, I feel like if anybody but Carol deserves fan art, it's Mattie -- she's such a charming character, and such an exemplar of how good Peg is at making sinister people a bit cute and cute people a bit sinister...
