I will always associate the subject of today's Blast From The Past with a girl screeching "I'm being RAAANDOM!" (yes, the same voice from the Ultimate Sonic Fanfic, that one).

Although one could argue that this is missing the bit where they sit on the couch and play video games, this was clearly planned for the last panel but was excised for more HOTTT LESBO AXXXNZ (please buy my Cafepress shirts, Ristin the Ra[c]coon would)

This is so true, man. I'd reckon a good 90% of the webcomics out there nowadays are pointless, cookie-cutter attempts at rewriting some lame situation from a children's television anime cartoon. Either that, or, as another poster stated, an inside joke dealing with video games and/or the internet.
