Just a warm up do-diddle. I think I'll color it later.
BUT not here. With exceptional-exception of exceptioness, human art will be delegated to my mostly neglected DA and all-but forgotten y!gallery. I'll journal about them soon, and also post links in profile somewhere.

It was incredibly well designed. The team who made the original Mega Man game got back together to make a game (and series) where speed, precision, and resourcefulness were more important that just blowing shit up from across the room.
Zero's first weapon was always his ability to maneuver. Close second would be the charged Z-Saber xD

Wow, still got EBs up in Canada? They used to be separate entities but after GS bought out EB they all became GSs here.
And that sucks. Guess its a trade-in thing anymore more than anything. I worked at one a few years back when they were getting rid of all their main console games before the PS2 (so no more FFVII and Valkyrie Profiles and such in stores), but surprised they still have GB games, even the non-color ones, since the GB officially died with the DS.

Technically speaking the DS and the DSi are still gameboys.. They're just getting away from the gameboy brand name. And ours does still have some GBA games, but they're mostly crap. Its hard to find anything good unless you want to go to a pawn shop and pay their outrageous prices.
No, they're not 'Game Boys' because they don't carry the name and they don't carry the function to play the original GB games. You could say, in a roundabout sense, that as long as some PS3s in production remain backwards compatible, the PS1 technically isn't 'dead', since there is still hardware made to support it.
The Game Boy officially died when they stopped making GBAs since the DS does not support it. It may play GBA games (though the DSi does not), but it does not have the GB name, and thus is not a 'Game Boy', but Nintendo's replacement for it in their line of handheld entertainment.

In a sense you are right but also wrong. True the DS does not play all backwards compatable games, but the playstation is a bad example. Just because they've got different numbers on them doesn't mean anything.. It's still the "playstation" brand of video game system you're buying... Produced by the company Sony that creates and publishes. Nintendo didn't officially call the DS a gameboy but it's still listed as one in many console listings. Arguably by your logic, the DS is still a gameboy because it plays gameboy advance games, but the DSi would be the first one that is not, since it is not really backwards compatable except for the DS games.
And the only reason that sony removed the backwards compatability is because they fucked it up. They had a great many problems with the systems and they discovered it was the backwards compatability function that was actually the cause of all their problems with the old systems. lol. So low and behold... They removed it. Instead of admiting their mistake they just removed the backwards compatability and released the systems in 40 and 80 gigs with "a great new price". lol. Sony is fail.
