As the screenings ended, Arata had to admit that Proxy held true to her words of not being sloppy when drawing her. Proxy rose and smiled to Arata “He he, I wanted to make a little out of this and show it to you” Proxy said. “You are surely one of a kind Proxy” Arata answered and hugged Proxy. “Glad you liked it, that is what makes my spirit glow and gives me energy, I hope you weren’t annoyed to be driven all the way out here just because of this.” Proxy said and blushed. “Nah, I guess not” Arata laughed before adding “But next time, a little more heads up or info would be good”. “Noted” Proxy giggled. “Relax it won’t happen again” Rebecka said and frowned at Proxy. “Rebecka can you wait just a few more seconds?” Proxy asked her, with great concern. “No! You said after the screening, that time is now, you as well as me know what happens to me if it dosen’t get done in time” Rebecka said with a blend of fright and sadness in her eyes. “Excuse me, what are you actually talking about?” Arata asked. Proxy turned back to Arata and just said “Oh nothing. Look outside is a cab which will drive you back to town for free, I have to ask you to find your way out by yourself as I have matters to attend to. Sorry Arata, and thanks for coming”. Proxy and Rebecka went into another room and Arata was left to herself.
Arata was about to walk out when she remembered that she had to ask Proxy if the cab could just drive her straight home, it was better to be on the safe side with everything that had happened today. As Arata opened the door to the room where Proxy and Rebecka was she saw Proxy with tears in her eyes and Rebecka petting her shoulder. “I..I am just so sorry Rebecka, this wasn’t what I wanted, I wish you could get the life I had in mind when creating you, and I wish we had more time together” Proxy said. “Relax Proxy, I will always be in your heart. And besides it wasn’t your fault. Who knew, although when I learned the truth I was a little angry at you, but it really isn’t your fault.” Rebecka replied still holding Proxys shoulder, fear and sadness still showed in Rebecka’s eyes and even though she tried to hide it, her voice cracked at some points, she was close to tears. Proxy hugged her and said “I guess we should get this over with”. “Yes” answered Rebecka and took two steps away from Proxy. No time would fit to interrupt, but Arata wanted to just ask quickly before this evolved. “Proxy?!” she said loud and clear as she come deeper into the room. Proxy jumped “Arata?! What are you still doing here? I where sure you had left” she asked. “I just had a question” Arata said. “It has to wait! Proxy please do it now!” Rebecka screamed as some tears rolled down her cheek. “I can wait” Arata said. “Well I didn’t want you to see this but, this can’t actually wait, so brace yourself.” Proxy said. Then Proxy looked at Rebecka and said loud and clear “Rebecka your mission is completed and successful”. As Proxy said this, a light came to be around Rebecka from nowhere. Rebecka looked at Proxy with a little smile and said “Thank you Proxy” then, she winked to Arata and her smile faded into a sad look on a girl which lifeforce was slowly drained. Rebecka was disappearing bit by bit. Arata was shocked to say the least. What in the world was going on. As the last bits of Rebecka disappeared, Proxy whispered “Good bye” and the light faded more and more until everything was back to normal, except that Rebecka was gone.
Enjoy!
