Now with less eye-melting detail, less overpowered fantasy and better spelling!
I'm pretty happy with the new look. A bit more character to it, a little more like me (Powers and all are metaphors for stuff I'm interested in. No need to be boring, right?). I'll bore you with the rest of the story later on.
Goddamn bricks require patience to paint.

Wow, this is amazing. I always wanted to somehow make money magically appear so I could commission you to do one of my prized characters, since I think you'd do them some serious justice. Alas, the economy blows and neither job nor money have blessed me in so long. -sigh.- I really like this, though. The whole character sheet look is so fitting, you do such a spectacular job.
Big SOB.
Do you use a brush for the carbon fiber or do you teadiously paint it? I wish I had your mech skill about now. Im trying to 'birth' these two charcters (to be named later) and ( I suddenly got the idea to cosplay you and Coop as them) they're actually androids as well. Anyway I was thinking of using a bit of carbon fiber on them and some synthetic muscles (kinda like the stuff used in iRobot) and was hopin for a tip.

Awesome, I guess you could consider the old version sort of what he looked like when he was in the military, after a few years of comfy life, well being slightly rotund hasn't hurt anyone. Well, not too too badly anyhow. I like, but then your freaking everything and the kitchen sink level of detail is always gorgeous to look at.
I will admit that one of the parts of your character sheets that strike me the most ARE the "eye melting detail". Plus, I'm a lover for overpowered characters. Namely because there's nothing more badass than two quasi-deific dudes duking it out and tearing buildings to shreds. But I suppose that's just me. I will say though, either that's an odd angle, a backwards fisheye lens, or his head is really really tiny.
Sorry to butt it, but have you looked into texture generators like "Mapzone" and "Filter Forge".

Filter Forge also has a gallery of example textures you can pull down on their site.
While both have additional uses, especially in 3D, they can make some really good image maps that can be used in 2D work as well.

Wow! Nice update to your profile. Your character looks a lot more "Burlier" than before. Any reason for the change? Or was this the intent all along.... I wonder...
Secondly, I gotta get a commission from you sometime, your art is, in a sence, UNPARRALELLED in detail! It's phenomenal!
Nice "Nano-Gloves" by the way, they definately have that 'Ooooooo... ' Factor!

Your artwork has always been one of my favs... As long as your happy in the way your drawing it up.. That is all that matters...
Speaking of googling things up.. Love to see you do a drawing on a Comic book character from the 70's called "Tiger-Man" from Atlas Comics.. as 70's version & your version if he was in your character's world..

You know... I'll be honest with you. I think this is the first drawing you made that I didn't like. Even if you don't give a damn, I'm going to express my opinion here anyway:
In the previous version (last character sheet) you had a quite awesome character. Although some of his skills and abilities went over the edge, he was like the ideal hero to me. He had cool accessories, a nice attitude, awesome clothes and a way of doing things that made me fall in love with the character the first time I saw him. Later, you publish a journal saying you were going to make some modifications to your character and was going to make him more normal. Nothing wrong with that. But the fact is that you have changed his visual as well.
I mean no offense, but he looks fat here rather than muscular. The head is also too small for the rest of the body. It seems that you tried to create a more cartoony visual for him, but I think your drawing style isn't suited for that. Your style is intended for more realistic stuff (like what you've been doing so far). I liked the new profile, makes him seem more normal but still awesome. But you should stick to the previous body and anatomy (including the model of the bionic feet). The clothes look great though, I always liked your design.
This is my opinion. You do as you please, as always.
Keep up your awesome stuff!

This pic went through so many revisions it's not even funny. It kept looking odd because the head was always too big for someone of his size, and it detracted from the overall look. Soooo I shrunk it down a notch. In general, I was trying to emphasize how big the rest of him is. He is, after all, 7 feet tall and 400lbs, and that's pretty damn big. If you were to put someone about 5"10 next to him, their heads would be the same size.
Plus, everyone's lean, muscular, or both. He's stiill muscular....he just has padding now XD

You have a point about the head, but when you grow up to enormous heights you head grows along. Have you ever heard of Robert Wadlow? He was the tallest man who ever existed, even being so tall (8 feet and 11 inches) his whole body had proportional features as if he was normal sized. You can see a photo of him here: http://www.guinnessworldrecords.com.....llest_man.aspx
I still think you should remove that absurdly thick neck and put your character back in the previous anatomy which, in my view, suits better to a warrior as skilled as Strype. The best Strype to me would be the new profile with the previous look.

Once again I find myself amazing at with people can do in Photoshop. As much as I love Adobe, Corel and their lovely Painter X has stolen my heart.
I love this piece, you did a great job on the brick work. I love the gloves to no end, I could never figure out how to get a glowing effect in Photoshop every time I tried it looked like crap.
(Painter X's glow brush FTW)

You look
A: Like an Exalted character
B: Delicious
C: An even more badass version of Nikolai from Apotheosis

*insert "Hands Bigger than Head = Cancer" prank* XD
Just kidding, I wouldn't want to mess with a guy that can take on a Left 4 Dead tank... or get angry and practically become one. O.o
While a bit "heavier" like others have said, he actually looks "gentler" from the change, at least from my perspective. Maybe its the kitty face!
...Can I see those gloves?

Nice change. He is a much more believable character and not so "God-Like". He's also put on quite a bit of weight, which adds to his believability since he's no longer a soldier and is now working in a shipyard.
Is is just the upward perspective that makes his head look small in relation to the rest of his body?

they'd have no effect. all the circuitry in his bionics and data implants are all photon-based (think boards made with a lot of fibre-optics, no electricity to disrupt) and all the chips (or future equivalent) are all EM-shielded. I imagine EM-pulses would be a pretty big part of future warfare, and if all yer troops have implants, it's good to shield them from the effects
oh, he's lookin' different. i like seeing personal characters change with time; it's neato. is psi-cloaking like he's invisible to certain people or is he just manipulating their minds to not notice him? cuz that's badass
also: does he have to take his legs off when he sleeps or something? for repairs? does he have different legs for swimming?
also: does he have to take his legs off when he sleeps or something? for repairs? does he have different legs for swimming?
The psi-cloaking is a manipulating of the minds of peeps around him to not notice him. Doesn't work on robots or things without organic, squishy brains, but it's a good trick most of the time.
As for the legs, he's got multiple sets for different situations. He's even got a "believable" set for bedtime and intimate situations, as not to freak Cooper out

Are those PDA displays built into his gloves? Freakin' awesome!
I like this character profile, he sounds fairly balanced (in terms of advantages and disadvantages), and his talents and flaws complement each other. I especially find it interesting that he doesn't handle non-combat-related stress too well; I'd imagine that he feels like he needs to destroy something after a rough day at work, but the moment someone starts shooting at him he's as cool as ice. I look forward to hearing more about him.

One of these days I'll have to commission you to draw one of my YT-2B Personal Assault, Cybernetic Powered Exoskeletons. It's more or less a memory-stored hard-suit with kinetic enhancements so that once movement is initiated, its difficult to halt it. Excellent for melee but I have a preference for heavy beam-based weapons systems. Hailing from a VERY cold world on the equator orbit of it's sun, summers are mildly below the tolerable level, access available for heavily augmented individuals. Winter time? Don't go out without a heavily insulated thermo-packed VS-series Exoskeleton. Or you'll freeze to death. Anyway, enough with the useless detail right? Your bionic legs look very believable to me, looking like they've got segmented armor on most of them. Nano-segmented armor can actually replace skin as a sub-dermal implant with a thermal lining. Gah! I'm going techy again... Your axe, or is it a pick-axe? Looks like something an engineer might carry, and yes, Power armor is a very good thing, except for opening doors that haven't been reinforced with Iridium or Deutrinium. It tends to... Shatter, if you apply too much force... Any who, I'm going to favorite this. It's a bit of a disappointment that you've removed your contact info, I'd have enjoyed sharing technical details with you. Though I'm still having trouble creating a workable power source that works at neigh zero-kelvin. Any who, keep up the good work, that is, whenever you feel like it, and whenever you have the time and such. But, if your looking for a set of bionic legs that have appropriate running speed, look me up, my species is famous for its hyper-advanced bodily replacement cybernetics after all. Good day to you peep!
Amazing details, good design and cool look, only the legs seem a bit short, like severed above the knee.
Good round character developement, maybe some more words about the private side, like hobbies.
Has he also combined psychic abilities, like invisible fire, using a small amount of pyrocinetics to keep his body temperature in too cold climate or using a tactile psi-cloak to get immune against pain?

Sorry for such a late comment ^^;
I like new look myself, hehe the lessening of details is nice change. As always, you have stylish clothing choices and the weapon looks awesome ^^ (what kind of weapon is that exactly?)
The bio is cool too, and despite being so much info, it's easy to digest, especially the background. Hehe the second
"note" cracks me up XD
Overall, amazing job Strype!

I like this design. It's got a very stylized look but also maintains a good level of anatomical correctness. I also like the use of the new standard Army ACU camo pattern. I personally prefer the pattern that the Air Force uses on their ABUs. Looks like scattered digital clouds.
I like his legs. That axe thing is badass too. I imagine a nice long handle gives him plenty of control and speed which works contrarily to my image of an axe. I've always considered axes to be clumsy, bulkier weapons more so than anything else but this axe I can imagine as an effective weapon. Your character seems to give of this air of solidarity at least aesthetically. Was that the effect you were going for?

so strype, would this be your homeworld? a nearly tropical moon orbiting a world like saturn? I translated Nefer and it means "beauty/goodness" so i could design your homeworld for you if you want ^^

I've noticed that most people, when they think up a fictional planet, tend to think of them as a single biome world. Snow planet, tropical planets, desert panets, ect. Nefer is an earth-like planet, two moons, one similar to our moon, the other further out and smaller, that has a minimal effect on anything. Strype was born in a tropical region, yes, but there's a lot more to the planet than palm trees
Well, Nefer refering to Egypt, is a tropical area. That's the only thing that got me thinking tropical, but I knew it's have temperate and polar regions too. I know my planet geography :P silly tiger. But I'd prefer a world such as this http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1320646/ like Kamino ^^ Obviously colonized. My point is I was going to make it a Temperate world. Like Alderaan or Naboo, with it's own unique continents of course. You could possible send me a rough sketch of the continents, that way it will come out the way you hoped it would. But I think I already basically drew it ^^' http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3680997
