Arata's visit part-3 (Let's do it)
Part 3 here.
Bear with me cuz this is pretty long.
Enjoy!

Arata stood speechless beside Proxy. “Well you know the way out” Proxy said quietly, and sadness could be heard in her voice, as she turned to walk of. “But, what just happened? Is that all?” Arata asked as Proxy walked. “Yeah, pretty much. That was the end for Rebecka” Proxy answered. “But aren’t you gonna do anything?” Arata asked. “Nope” Proxy replied. “Hold on!” Arata said loud and took Proxy by the shoulder. “huh” was proxy’s only answer as she was taken by surprise. Arata dragged Proxy gently in front of her and held one paw on each of her shoulders. “I really can’t believe you. How can you just watch a girl like that just disappear?! Don’t you even care a little? The Proxy I know would never turn her back on a friend like that! You created this girl the first time around, now get her back and give her the life she deserves, it’s your responsibility!” Arata said out loud and clear as she looked at Proxy. “The thing is that I can’t do this alone, so how can I fix this?” Proxy asked looking up at Arata. “Remember that if you make the right decisions you will never stand alone, why don’t we see if we can fix this together?” Arata continued. Proxy smiled up at her and answered “Let’s bring Rebecka back! Are you with me?”. “bet on it” Arata answered and smiled back to Proxy.
Proxy brought Arata to yet another room. This room was big and purple. There was a terminal in the middle, and further in there was a platform. “This is where it all started” Proxy said. “Waow” Arata said as she looked around. Proxy said “I think you should hear how Rebecka came to be, as the story bear with it why she is no more”. Arata nodded at it. “Okay, so as you might have guessed this is where some of my creatures get there life and form. Rebecka was the latest in that row. Her design was one of my best up to now, her mission to fetch you would be a warm up to get her ready for the special task force that she would lead, when she returned. The creation process went as normal as it normally does, but when I pushed the last button, the thunder from the storm that day crashed down the antenna and short-circuited the whole building as well as the machine that was in the final process of creating Rebecka. As the emergency lights came on I ran over to that very platform to see if everything was okay with her. What I found was an incredible tigress. She looked all fine and I was so reviled everything was okay with her. At least we thought so. When we got the power back on, I was able to run the test on Rebecka, a standard test I always do on my new creations, getting the results on their health and wellbeing, and special abilities that they acquire uncontrolled by me or anything. When I looked over the results for Rebecka I was mortified. As far as health and wellbeing was all topnotch, there was one problem that the power outage had caused. In the last minutes of the creation the power outage had made a weird ability or rather curse on this tigress. Rebecka would die and disappear when I said the sentence “your mission is completed and successful”. Normally one would think that just avoiding saying that sentence would be easy enough, but there was more to it. If a mission such as getting you here was indeed completed and the sentence were not said in the span of 24 hours after, Rebecka would suffer a worse death, one which would include a lot of pain and after hours of torment both physically and mentally, it would end in the poor girl getting eaten up from the inside and out by her own organs. That’s why she was so anxious to get me to do it as fast as possible. And that is the reason why it ended the way it did. Now I was thinking of bringing her back, but as I said I don’t have the knowledge on how to reboot the program, and my programmer Chris is on the other side of the globe, Even though he can fly fast he wouldn’t be able to get back here in time. You see Rebecka’s DNA indeed remains in the database in 24 hours. That is the time we have to bring her back. If we lose that DNA it is all over for good and Rebecka will just be a memory.” Proxy sighted after saying all that. “Okay… that was a lot” Arata said. “Of course, if this was easy, I would have fixed without hesitation” Proxy said and smiled. “There is also one more thing, a safety precaution that I made ages ago. You see to protect against duplicates being made I made it so that the exact same creature can’t be made twice.” Proxy said. “But whatever little change you make should be able to fool the program right?” Arata answered. “Yes” Proxy replied. “So if you just change the way you spell her name, that change might be enough to trick the program, the great things about computer programs is that they just do exactly as they are told, nothing more and nothing less.” Arata said. “Hmm, I think you are right, so you got us one loophole closer to getting her back.” Proxy replied. Arata and Proxy both agreed on changing the spelling of Rebecka’s name to Rebecca, it clinged a lot better.
To reboot the system, most of the details on Rebecca now needed to be made from scratch but with Arata’s help, it seemed to go pretty fast and Arata had the knowledge to fill in where Proxy did not. Although they were working well together and the new program seemed to work better than the last, they started to run out of time. Proxy was tapping the keys on the touch screen on the terminal like a maniac to get it done in time, as she also had to be careful not to do anything wrong. “Arata, do you have any clue on what to do, when the C78 jams up with the DF990?” Proxy asked as Arata was sitting on her knees fixing the cables at ground level on the terminal. “Eh, no?” Arata said. Proxy’s pulse rose as they now stood in front of a problem that neither of them could solve. “Okay we have to think of something” Proxy said and rubbed her head. They really fought against time now. “I think I know” Arata said after thinking a little. “We just need to get them to run on different frequencies, that way they won’t interfere with each other at all, it’s like getting two trains to drive on two different tracks.” She continued. “Arata you are a genius!” Proxy said as she continued tapping the keys. As the last minutes ticked by, Proxy and Arata weren’t sure if they would make it just in time or stumble over in defeat at the finish line. “It’s just 10 seconds left we need to run the program now!” Proxy said. “I know I just wished we could have done a try round first” Arata answered as she plugged the last cable. “I know, but there is no time. It’s now or never.” Proxy answered and pressed the last button as Arata got beside her, just to be safe.
A big light sparked at the platform and as a lot of energy flew to it the whole room was shaking. Then it all went black. Proxy stood quiet in disbelief. “What happened?” Arata asked as the emergency lights came on. Proxy put herself together and went over to a screen on the corner of the room. “Oh no!” She said. “What?” asked Arata. “The power outage last time has fried one of the cables leading to this room. We won’t be able to use the amount of energy needed to recreate Rebecca without causing a blackout until we fix this.” Proxy answered. “Do you have a spare cable to replace the fried one?” Arata asked quickly. “Yes I do but the thing is that I don’t have the cutting knife needed to cut over the cable, normally Chris’s claws make the cut neatly enough. Arata got her claws out “think this can do it?” She asked. “I think they might be perfect, but you have to be careful, I really don’t want to get along with a fried hot head” Proxy said with a smile to hide her worry as she got out the spare cable from a nearby locker. “You have the oddest way of saying that you care” Arata said as she got the cable and headed for the went system. “The second tunnel to the left should lead you to the fried cable.” Proxy said. Arata began her climb inside the went system. It was easy enough to look around, but the cables where all a mess. Arata took the second tunnel to the left and quickly enough found the fried cable but cutting it without harming the other cables that it was jammed together with was another story. Arata lied on her back to have her hands free. With nerves of steel and shivering hands Arata cut over the fried cable very carefully. When that was done she needed to connect the spare cable with the two ends that were now open on the cable that she had cut. Arata was surprised at how easy it all went, and it didn’t take long before she could join Proxy in the purple room again. Proxy looked at her as she returned. “it’s all fixed up” Arata said and put the piece of cable that was fried and removed in a trashcan nearby. “Waow this is amazing” Said Proxy as she turned the power on. “What is?” Arata said. “The time, remember that we had 10 seconds left when the power broke down? Since the power broke down the time on the computers froze and that means that there might be a slim chance of Rebecca’s DNA still being in the system.” Proxy replied smiling. “That is amazing, than let’s give this a final shoot” Arata answered.
Proxy again pressed the button to start the procedure. A bright light came to be and Arata and Proxy stood side by side and looked. The light grew brighter and brighter and the room started shaking again.
Bear with me cuz this is pretty long.
Enjoy!
