Candy Shoppe
Bonnie drummed her fingers on the desk as she watched the two customers make their way through the store. Her large rabbit ears twitched as she followed them with her gaze.
It wasn't that she was trying to spy on them; it was just that there wasn't much else to look at. The store was empty except for the couple currently looking at the wall of different-flavored jelly beans. With customers in the store, Bonnie couldn't surf the web on her phone; her boss didn't care what she did during slow times as long as she kept the shelves stocked, but she needed to maintain some semblance of professionalism. So there was nothing to do but wait until they finished.
They certainly were an interesting couple to watch. The female fox moved with a serene grace, and the orange dragon had to be one of the smiliest people she had ever seen; he seemed like the type who would make the best of any situation.
But it wasn't the two of them as individuals that kept Bonnie's attention; rather, it was the two of them as a pair. They moved like ice skaters doing an improvised couples routine. Like two planets in orbit around each other, they floated through the store, examining sweets, holding hands, talking, and laughing. They were not two, but one, every small behavior part of an intimate dance.
Without words, these two communicated clear as day that each was the other's whole world.
Bonnie smiled. She hoped some day she could find a guy that she could have something like that with.
Finally, they approached the register. The female fox had found a box of cookies, which she set on the counter in front of Bonnie.
"I'd like to get these, please," she said.
"Excellent choice!" Bonnie took the box and ran the barcode under the scanner, before accepting the bills from the fox and placing them in the till, her fingers moving over the buttons with a practiced finesse. The printer spat out a small receipt, which she placed in the fox's hand before handing her the box of cookies. "Here are your cookies, ma'am!"
She then turned to the dragon, who was leaning his back against the counter. "And would you like anything, sir?"
The dragon turns his head and looked her up and down. He had a smile on his face that caused a small chill to go down her spine.
"Well, here's the thing," the dragon said. "I'm not really a fan of sweet snacks. Do you have anything savory?"
Bonnie noticed the fox smile and shake her head slightly, as though this was something that had happened before. She ignored it. "Not really, sir; this is a candy shop. We have some Sea Salt Fudge, but it's honestly still pretty sweet."
The dragon continued smiling as he hefted his chubby frame from the table and turned to face Bonnie. "I don't know... I see a savory snack right now that looks pretty tasty to me."
"What do you mean... ah!" Bonnie let out a cry of surprise.
The dragon had reached across the counter and grabbed her firmly by the shoulders. Bonnie found herself yanked forward, towards the dragon's open mouth.
Bonnie had a brief moment to look inside. The inner walls of his maw glistened in the lights from the store, and his tongue flexed, as though waiting for her. Beyond white teeth and pink tongue, she could see the entrance to dark tunnel, a tunnel that was growing rapidly closer.
Then her head was shoved into his mouth, and everything became dark, warm, and very wet.
Tira smiled as she watched Ruby scarf the small rabbit down. His throat bulged as it accepted her head, his scales moving to accommodate the large meal. The girl was already in up to her shoulders when it occurred to her that maybe she should struggle, and by that point her arms were already pinned her to sides.
Not that the struggling would do much good; Ruby had a significant size and weight advantage on the little rabbit.
Ruby was down to the girl's waist, now, and had tilted his head back. This had the dual advantages of letting gravity help pull her in deeper, and also giving Tira and excellent view of her progress, the rabbit's form bulging out the scales on his neck and down his chest before disappearing into his already-rounded belly.
That bulge slowly moved down as wet swallows followed one after the other, pulling the dragon's prey into his gullet inch by inch. Eventually, the bulges settled in his gut, the meal complete.
Ruby let out a small belch, and immediately covered his mouth. "'Scuse me." He leaned back against the counter. "Mmm... another satisfied customer."
Tira rolled her eyes before stepped up to her mate, close enough that her stomach touched his, as though they shared it. She could feel the Rabbit moving around inside. "So I take it she was tasty, then?"
"Very tasty," Ruby responded. He blushed furiously, but backed up against the counter as he was, he couldn't back away from her. "Y-you're not upset with me, are you?"
Tira laughed and placed her hands on the sides of Ruby's belly, running her fingers across it. "Of course not, my Kitsune King. I'm just happy to see you indulging yourself a little." She leaned up and gave him a quick kiss on the lips. "Thank you for the cookies."
Ruby blushed even brighter. "Y-you're welcome. Should we get going?"
"One sec." Tira leaned across the counter, bracing herself with one hand as she reached to a spot on the other side of the till. She came back holding a phone, which she held up to Ruby. "I saw her playing with this when we first came in. What do you think? We wouldn't want her to get too bored in there, would we?"
Ruby smiled, taking the phone between two claws. He opened his mouth wide, tossed the phone inside, and then tilted his head back and swallowed. Tira could see the clear rectangular imprint in his throat as the piece of technology slid down his gullet.
"Okay, now we can get going," Tira said. "What say we go to your place and watch a movie? That rabbit feels especially squirmy, and I want to cuddle."
"Sounds wonderful, my Queen."
The two walked out of the shop, Tira taking a moment to turn the "Open" sign to "Closed" before they shut the door behind them.
