Just a little something special I made for a very talented furry artist friend of mine who in actual fact is studying at the same college as I am. ^^
timmiboi I made this bone shaped collar pendant out of 0.3mm Aluminum and I cut it out with my scroll saw and shaped it with files and very fine sand paper. *Sore Paws*
It’s approximately 60mmx30mm and I’m not sure of the weight, but its light that is for sure. I decided to use Aluminum firstly because it’s easier to manipulate and because it light weight and I’ve really never attempted to use sheet Aluminum in this manner. The only downside is its pretty soft and can be scratched very easily. ;(
Nevertheless I’m very pleased with the outcome and I hope he likes it as much as I enjoyed making it for him. I personally adore custom made stuff especially paw made collar pendants. Just wish someone would do something like this for me! *Sad Growl*
Well not to worry I have a few ideas lined up for some of my local furry friends, one in particular which holds a dear place in my heart.
kadfoxwolf Ah yes I also cut out wolf paw prints as best as I could and I went to an engraver and he allowed me to engrave the pendant myself and I’m also thinking of buying an engraving set or tool!
Other than that I really hope Timmi has a lovely birthday today and I wish him health, happiness and many more. Please if any of you have the time go and wish him and if anyone local i.e. from South Africa would like me to commission a collar pendant either out of Aluminum, Silver, Brass, copper or Stainless Steel please send me a note and I will quote you according to the amount of work, scale and complexity.
