The shades are always waiting at the entrance, as they always know ‘when’ you will be traveling, and they will chase you until the exit. Stronger individuals will even attempt to seep through the exit to get you, blind with rage and pain. It’s usually easy to trick them by leaving a small primordial matter canister just before You exit. They’ll latch to it and consume it, buying you time to close the gate.
