As soon as Nicholas and Topaz got back another meeting was called to order. This time he started on the presentation. "Alright guys, let's get down to business. The first steps to escalating the war between Nelya and the Contessa have gone well. We're down to the final set ups before we spring our trap."
Desmond took over. "Jade and Paul, we need you two to steal a voice modulator from the castle and plant it under Neyla's headquarters. If all goes as plained, it should allow us to give orders to her mercenaries without being detected. Unfortunately Neyla's recent bomber purchase has made her army overenthusiastic and they might strike before we're ready. Which leads us to Stanley and Ruby. I know how hard it will be to leave Rachel, but this should only take half an hour at the most. We need both of you to hot wire one of the Contessa's tanks and go to town on the mercenaries. We just need to intimidate them a little."
"Leave it to us," stated the said male. "We'll get it down; ain't that right Ruby?" She nodded.
"And finally me, Desmond, Topaz, and Nicholas will venture back down into the crypts to power up that old computer in the re-education tower," Aquamarine concluded. "We're going to need it to rescue Carmelita."
"Don't worry James, we're almost ready," stated Nicholas. The German Shepard nodded. "I suggest you get ready since I'm sure you'll want to go after Emerald. Oh and Mendoza? Those supplies we've brought with us need to be taken care of to make para-gliders. The rest here can help you with that. Okay, let's move out!"

The parents of Rachel, after making sure their daughter was sound and asleep, crept out. The two quickly found one tank in a shed and went to town with their job. It didn't take long as soon they were back with their kit. Jade and Paul went out next. They first had to pickpocket some keys from some of the guards. The vixen did this with great pleasure. Then it was onto a wire tap which both spies managed to get easily.
The next thing was even harder because there was more security. But Paul and Jade managed to get it and then it was off to the sewers. Luckily the satellite cable underneath the head quarter had already been dug up by the Contessa's men. It was then tested out to showed that it work. Now all that was left was for the group of four to do their job.

They all got in and could see the deadly traps. "So like how are you going to hack the computer when they've got no power down here?" Topaz asked.
"According to General Clawfoot a mobile energy source is stored at the end of this hallway," Desmond explained.
"'Hallway' is a pretty kind term for what looks to me like a complex medieval gauntlet of death," said Nicholas.
"Yes, well…" commented Aquamarine. "While the idea of jumping down a crypt filled with whirling, razor sharp spikes might scare me, in fact terrorize my every fiber, it's the only way to power up that old computer in the re-education tower. Without that thing online we'll never get a chance at rescuing Carmelita."
"You're a good vixen," the vulpine stated. "Just try to keep up with me and Topaz and make sure those traps don't shred you or Des to a hundred little pieces."
"Why'd the hell you have to say that!" she groaned.
They all went forward and with a little effort found an acid battery at the end. It would do the trick. The only catch was that Desmond had to be careful while carrying it. Then it was to the electrode next to where it had been placed so Aqua could start hacking. It took a little work but was quickly taken care of. At that moment Carmelita so far up spoke in the tower. "I'll get you Contessa!" she snarled.
"How many times must you say that," the coyote sighed. "It's not going to happen!"
"I'm dead serious. I'll get you!"
"I'll get you, I'll get you," the Contessa repeated in a mocking voice.
"I'm serious! I'll get you!"
"Yes, yes. So I've heard." At that moment one of the lights on the computer next door activated. The group of four far below was headed to the next terminal. That was also quickly hacked which had enough time for another exchange at the top of the tower.
"Hmm," commented the Contessa. "Maybe I should approach this through your id instead of your conscious mind. It might help to get around your super ego…" The vixen in there said nothing but another light on the computer activated.
"One more and we're out of here," Nicholas commented down below and the four continued on their way. They finally reached the last target and Aqua got it hacked. That also allowed time for one final exchange in the tower.
"Inspector, why fight it… don't you want to be my friend?" asked the Contessa.
"Noo!" the vixen snarled. "You horrible two legged cow. NO!" The third light came on and that meant the time had come for the heist. And hopefully ending this once and far plus rescuing Emerald at last.
