So, 5 years ago  midnightsnow and I had been daiting off and on, but nothing serious. I was in an open relationship that was failing (Yes the guy i was with knew i was dating and fine with it) when that relationship ended in abuse, i tried to be the bigger person and didnt let my land lords throw the guy out. But he was still sleeping in my room, on the top bunk of my bed.

I didnt realize how horrible this would be. I kept thinking 'he will move, and i can hold out until than' and 'he only harmed me once, i'll be fine' and those were rational thoughts. But i didnt feel they were true in my heart. I was afraid of the guy. I couldnt sleep well, and i was just a mess. I told  midnightsnow this, and suddenly he was there, every day, and than taking me to stay with him for a week just so i could feel safe. He dropped everything for me.

And than... the guy moved out. For three or four months, we were together 2 or three times a week for a day or more. Midnight would put off everything to be around me. But we just said things were just close friends and lovers. At RMFC 2012 in the hallway between room parties, he and i just stopped. We had been drinking and I guess we both his that point decided to ask the same question.

My Phrasing of it was "What the fuck are we?" and he was along the lines of "Whats going on here?". This literally lead to three lined that changed my life.

Realis: Well, i mean, i think we're dating?

Midnight: Yeah, that sounds right, so, i'm like, your boyfriend?

Realis: Yeah, umm, i guess you are.

That was it. Four years later once Colorado approved gay marriage, well it was natural. We had spent months appart, even put off moving in together for a year after the con just to make sure it would work out. But the truth is simple: Every day sucks with out my snowie.

So we look at RMFC as our anniversary, and we usually get art of both of us, usually from  DarkNatasha But this year i saw  czgoldedition taking acrilic wash commissions. And i had to do it. So, here we are, on our 5th anniversary, still madly in love with one another. I want to thank  czgoldedition for making this lovely image, and i want to thank that wonderful snowie  midnightsnow for just being my wonderful partner!
