If they have a short cockpit then they probably are a F5E, they are close in looks. The Talon dose have a fighter version outside of the role they play as trainers, thought you don't see the fighter versions often. If you near the USAFA then most likely they are T-38 trainers.
Yeah it use to be the home of the 3535th Navigator Training Wing, and 320th Bombardment Wing, so that fits with the T-38s. The old AF bases are mostly used for cargo relay and storage sites. Hence the C-130s and UH-60s.
I love C-130H and the AC-130H and Spooky versions. A few of my old friend use to fly the AC-130s during the Panama and Gulf war.
