An idea I had for an animated series from back when I was in High School.
"Adventures in Crambrigand"
Premise:
"Chauncey" is a rare breed of shapeshifting dragon who is considered valuable on the animal market. One day, he was fetching water for his parents when he was knocked out and captured by "Jacques the Great"; the most skilled and cunning of all hunters of mythical creatures. He was then taken far away and sold at an auction to a rich family. Jumping through a couple of hoops, Chauncey manages to escape. The family eventually finds out and forcefully claims a refund from Jacques. After the ordeal, he notices Chauncey running off into the woods. It is then that the hunter vows revenge for the trouble the creature had caused him, and won't stop at nothing until he catches him. Now, Chauncey(with the help of a girl named "Abigail") must venture through the land of "Crambrigand" in search of his home, and the family that dearly misses him.
Essentially, the show is supposed to be a throwback to the classic shows of the Disney Afternoon, with most episodes being self-contained and having a run time of 11 minutes, each. However, there would be multi-part episodes for season premiers and finales, as well as specials.
