Explanation:
I was in a show called "Seussical, the Musical" in Fall 2007. I played Wickersham 1, which is one of the 3 monkey brothers. Anyway, the Cat in the Hat is sort of like the 'narrator' or the story. In our show the general theme was that we were all people from an urban setting, view through the eyes of a kid with a wild imagination. So that Cat in the Hat was like your fast-talking, pinstripe-suit-wearing, suave dude (on his cell phone selling Thneeds in the opening sequence). His hat was made to look like a 'cool dude's' hat, for lack of knowing what it's actually called. Worn kinda cocked down a bit to give allure. Anyway, so the dude wore the neat little glasses and sported a goatee. So backstage, on our sign-in sheet I drew my little interpretation of him as an anthro-cat in that hat. And this is that pic.

Whew, anyway. I hope you can make out the little details I put in, like his fang, goatee, and the glasses. And I know he does look kinda like a mouse. Sorry I suck.
