Actually... That's pretty cool! I was using these as beer kegs, like maybe for holding gasoline or water but when you mentioned propane, I realized they do look just like those tanks on propane powered forklifts. Or possibly they could be filled with natural gas like the public works trucks in my town. Before I would have tried making bbq style tanks if I wanted to make a LP powered car.
Oh! Man beer kegs are a must have for desert night parties. :P. I wonder if gasoline might be stored in a pressurized keg? CO2 pressurizing the can would probably keep sparks from being an issue. :)
Willis, Tx uses LPG trucks for commercial work, but I hear performance and range drop off a bit in comparison to conventional fuel.
Building an LPG car would be hella awesome though. Something like an old Camry doner. :3
