"3 DAYS, 3 days of hiking from the nearest village with this armor on. And why would anyone hire a battle armored dragon-taur to deal with a god damn overgrown centipede. AND WHY THE FUCK did i even say yes to this" Venio furiously yelled to himself as he was approaching a cave entrance.
He stopped infront of the cave entrance, almost falling over from complete exhaustion from his hike.
He picked a small flayer from his side pocket and started reading out loud to remember what his objective was.
"Bounty for whoever brings the head off the monster thats has been killing and terrorizing my livestock of sheep, bring the head of the monster to prove that you killed it, the monster looks like a centipede about 30 segment long with on each 2 legs, it is about 12 feet long" He chuckled, standing almost 13 feet in height himself this would be child's play for him. He continued to read the rest of the flayer."There will be a reward of 10,000 golden coins to whoever brings me the head of it. Any recourses like food, water, arrows, magic items and others will also be refunded to you if necessary"
The dragon huffed "Oh right, thats why... What i could do with 10,000 gold" As a shadow was being cast over him, he looked at the sun and saw it was approaching the horizon. "Alright this critter can wait another night, i need to find a place to sleep for the night" Looking around he found a lonely oak tree sitting at the side of a hill. "That will do for a night" As he approached the tree he noticed that the tree was bigger than normal, but he thought nothing of it, "Maybe its the soil around here" He said to himself. As he was settling around the tree, he heard a inhuman screech coming from the cave.
"I will deal with you once i'm rested"
The next day venio awoke rather peacefully, the birds in the tree where singing there morning song and a subtle rush from a waterfall could be heard in the distance. As he stood up for his morning stretches he noticed something strange. The tree has grown, it now almost look like a small redwood, as soon he wants to investigate the the overgrown tree he heard the inhuman screech again, but.... More powerful? No that couldn't be it. Maybe it just moved closer to the entrance of the cave.... "Yes that would be it" He reassured himself.
As he was prepping to enter the cave entrance he couldn't but feel that something was off.
His suspicion was confirmed when he entered the cave. It was FILLED with growth crystals. And all off them were glowing with power. But none off the power was getting into his body. So where was it going?
And like it was pronounced to a great orchestra. The centipede appeared before him. The towering behemoth was dwarfing the dragon taur. It was easily the size of a castle wall if not bigger and it looks like it has more segments then originally described. It looks like it grew another 20 segments bringing it up to a total of 50 segments
But venio was unfazed by this. As he took his sword from his shoulder and preparing himself for the inevitable battle, the only thing that came into his mind was...
"12 feet, my fucking ass"
edit 1: took averagewolf advise and capitalized the letters.

A zweihander, an appropriate choice for your current form. I see that the sword suffers from the fantasy sword trope, specifically in the cross guard and hilt, I still approve however.
The story in and of itself, is simple, concise, makes it's point clear. I'd say that it's a solid read, however, you gotta make sure you capitalize your sentences, and a few other things I'm sure(I'm not an expert, just a perfectionist). A good way to help improve(it helps me at least) is to observe how other authors write their stories, specifically, how and where they distinguish their descriptions and actions.

The sword is actually based on a sword that i own. this one
and i'll try to do better with describing in the next part
also i haven't forgotten the note, just a little stuck with it

The only thing other then that sword, is a kukri. this one to be exact http://imgur.com/a/BkTzN
got that one from a trip in Nepal. And the sword is indeed a longsword. The handle, cross guard and hilt where inspired from the ringwraiths in LOTR according the blacksmith.
that might be the reason why i bought it XP
