oh god electric fencing... *shivers* i have zapped my self so many times on those things my home used to be surrounded by the stuff.... never could get used to the way the gate worked.... grab the plastic not the catch... >< heh ><

oh got hit by cowfence once cousin was able to jump up on it and me being city boy grabed wire and pole and got blown back XD... wishe there ws way you could hear it hum or somthing XD

Fortunately, mine is a high impedance fencer (meaning it pulses every second or so), and being a 25 mile fencer that has a rated output of 8,550 volts running off of a car battery, you can definitely hear it. It has the high pitch whistle of a strobe lamp, and a loud clicking noise in which you can hear from half way across my 10 acre paddock.

What's kinda neatis watching the fence illuminate at night when it's wet, and it's pitch dark outside, you can faintly see the fence all at once instantly faintly emit a hue around itself from the current and the water... kinda neat.

OH, and what cracks me up in Jurassic park is how the fence has a warning of 10,000 volts... pft, I've been hit by my other plug in fencer that puts out 12,700 volts and yeah it hurt like hell, but it sure as heck doesn't nearly kill me... sorry... movie rants.
