A little personal head cannon on the species I thought would be fun to share: the tails have their own brain and soul, so they are basically all siblings. So they can fight and even loathe each other. There is a certain procedure that can have one of the tails switch places (or just take control, which kills the “head"head, and would leave their tail body as a regular prehensive tail controlled by the "head” ) with the “head”, so some “heads” must always be alert that one of their tails might sneak behind their back and try to have the procedure done.
Some even just kill their problem tail sibling, but in their world, it’s considered murder; so very taboo and comes with a high penalty if caught.

I’ll be using some variation of this species in my future i.pity.mé ( http://ipity.me ) spin off comic.
