I slow down the backing track 15% and sing to that.
I then do some initial editing (background noise removal, removing breaths, compression) and then speed it up 17.647% to get it back in the same speed as the original.
I then run it through Melodyne, which helps with pitch correction and timing.
I then put it back into Audacity, check some final timing issues and add reverb.
