Well! After a few months of working on this one, I can now present to you a new minimalist piece, incorporating elements of pandiatonicism (a.k.a. note clusters) and near-aleatoric rhythms.
The piece is largely a celebration of gestalt, after having witnessed facets of our universe that we still have difficulty explaining as individual pieces but can still step back to appreciate the whole...hence the title. Perhaps this is also a commentary on the archaism of the notion that the Cartesian approach to the scientific method is always the right one.
But enough of all that! I hope you enjoy this work as much as I have...particularly, I love the feeling that these seemingly chance rhythms give in the first half of the composition--like a dancer trying to keep her footing but instead getting thrown around the dance floor by strange, random convulsions of her body.
