Performed live by my new(ish) "band," Future Perfect. A little lo-fi, but you know, we recorded it in my basement with one microphone.
I wrote this song about the guy who was in charge of my old high school literary magazine, whom my bandmate and I both worked for.
Lyrics:
You say you've got a problem with the way you say I act
But the truth is pretty different when you look at all the facts
You see me with my glasses, but I don't need them to see
You say I'm doing wrong by you when you're doing wrong by me
Chorus:
Can't you see (x3) It ain't me
You screw me out of so much time with all your stupid shit
The blame comes down on you, but you never will admit
You rope me into problems when you know I just don't care
You try to share your blame with me and you know it's just not fair
Chorus (x2)
We had a good thing going and I hate to see it die
But I can't get with the program when all you do is lie
You took my name, gave up my job, and took my fifty bucks
And now you so politely tell me that I'm shit out of luck
Chorus (x2)
